• Mozilla released Mozilla 1.0 RC3,
• and, as mentioned earlier, Netscape 7.0 PR1

Speaking of updates, came across this Slashdot article a while ago, but am just linking it to now: “Online News Stories that Change Behind Your Back.” The thread that follows has some interesting, if occasionally unrealistic, suggestions to identify updates within a news item.

Quite a few years ago, I stumbled across a TVOntario airing of Trinity and Beyond—a hauntingly spectacular film about the early nuclear bomb tests. Photos from those explosions are now available on a U.S. Department of Energy Web site, and though not quite as affecting as the film, they are still impressive.
