One of my colleagues at the Ontario Science Centre pointed me to this outstanding Flash-powered documentary on human origins. Narrated by the man who found “Lucy”, Don Johanson, the work is an incredible example of hypermedia’s potential.

Combining an intuitive, context- and time-based navigation structure with beautiful images and design, the piece ably conveys a wealth of information in a digestible and layered manner.

No doubt an expensive project to produce, this, to me, is the kind of thing I would love to see result from the convergence of TV and the Web.
