Fixing Trade by Numbers; Sun to unionize?

Mozilla 1.2.1 is out, and it fixes the problems that caused 1.2 to be pulled.

The latest edition of Trade by Numbers uses a two-pixel border around the body of the cover which, thanks to wonky box models, caused some problems when the cover was placed in a perfectly fitted pop-up window.

Thankfully, I found Richard Bennett’s compact and comprehensive JavaScript to serve a different width to browsers rendering in strict mode (which most should be given the e-zine uses transitional and strict XHTML).

Toronto is blessed with four daily newspapers (two are ostensible national ones but no-one really buys that). Only one is a tabloid, and that’s the scrappy anti-union, Toronto Sun. For the past four years its been owned by the vehemently anti-union Quebecor (yes, that Quebecor). One would think it’d be a match made-in-heaven, but it appears there’s only so much ham-fisted management the little paper can take.

The only non-union newsroom in the city appears close to joining the Southern Ontario Newspaper Guild.
