No Mozilla AOL; Russell Mills was fired

Lee and I have been talking about doing a project for a while involving a huge world map and some co-operation from friends. The problem has been finding the map, now (thanks to a plug from Zeldman), our quest may be over.
I’ve written about CanWest’s ham-fisted editorial policies before, but deep-down I never really felt it’d be as stupid as to actually fire a publisher who contradicted them. As news junkies are, by now, well aware Russell Mills was fired for contradicting in the Ottawa Citizen CanWest’s official editorial stance. This occurred the day after he spoke about press freedoms when he was awarded an honourary doctorate.
