Accessibility problems with the Post

The National Post redesign has been unveiled, and although looking clean and crisp it’s an accessibility nightmare.

The entire left navigation menu continues to be composed of graphical text buttons without any alternate text. And because none seem to be pre-loaded, they help create slow loading pages.

Nevertheless, fans of K10K will love it, as the font is fixed at 10 or 11 pixels—a design decision no doubt cheered by the many readers squinting to read the text.
