Trade by Numbers
The last of the two big projects I’ve been working on this month finally launched today. Although Trade by Numbers is a small, monthly e-zine, it is, I believe, the first time a globe*.com site
- has not used tables for layout (works in both Netscape 4.x and modern browsers),
- and is valid XHTML and CSS (there are three errors that appear in the story pages because of the publishing systems habit of wrapping a
<P></P>and not a<p></p>around stories).
The site is also text-browser friendly — despite the use of frames — and relatively accesible. Doing all this took some convincing of the templating system, and some baby-sitting of the news story published, but it works.
Also of note, it is not an advertorial product. The sole sponsor, in fact, wanted independently-produced content.
