Living Can Kill You

Saturday Night, alive

The National Post is reporting that the paper’s former weekend insert (and Canadian institution), Saturday Night will return from the dead. The magazine will publish on a more rational scehdule of six times a year, thanks to a new deal reached by CanWest and Multi-Vision Publishing Inc.

Multi-Vision, which also publishes Elm Street (among others), most recently resurrected the dying Shift magazine. Under the terms of the deal, CanWest will get a chunk of future profits and have the oppurtunity to buy back the mag in five years.

Saturday Night will continue to be available exclusively in the Post, which will also distribute Elm Street.
