XForms 1.0, and more CSS modules; Eolas patent
The W3C has been busy once again. XForms 1.0 is now a proposed recommendation — this is what may be used in XHTML 2.0 — but Microsoft is already going its own way by using its own XML-based form tool in the version of Office.
As well, three more modules for CSS3 have also been released (more commentary later, I hope):
Until today, I hadn’t heard anything about this: a one-man company won its US$521 million patent-infringement suit against Microsoft. The “David” is a spin-off from University of California and claims it holds patents on browsers using plug-ins and applets. Paul Festa at News.com wonders which browser is next. I wonder whether this will affect Firebird’s extensions.
Google now calculates how many stones in a kilogram.
