Living Can Kill You

getElementsByClassName; CSS tabs; Mozilla Mail

Via Simon Willison: Andrew Hayward’s document.getElementsByClassName.

Witness to progress: over the past year-and-a-half, people across the Web have been hammering down CSS-design techniques. These techniques — from layouts to tabs — are becoming the building blocks for the next stage of Web design and will soon be as common as the spacer GIF hack once was. I only wish I had more time right now to join in the fun…

Mozilla Mail is probably one of the underrated gems in the Mozilla suite, and now it’s officially left the roost. Like the stand-alone browser Phoenix, project Minotaur is a going to be a slimmed down mail client based on Mozilla Mail.

Let’s hope they will include someone way to access Hotmail (the only way to access that service via a mail client seems to be through the troublesome Outlook Express).
