David Elfstrom pointed me to a Canadian all-CSS site: the Queen’s Journal. Nice simple design, even though it doesn’t validate and has an obscenely long pulldown menu that actually causes the server to time-out (check the source).

On the topic of validation, the inaugural Webstandards.TO (as arranged by Joe Clark) is happening tonight at 7 p.m. in the Second Cup at King and Bathurst (which conveniently is next door to my place of work). Ostensibly a webstandards.meetup.com replacement to talk about standards-complaint Web development, it’s also be an excuse to meet some of Toronto’s Web folk. If you count yourself one, come on out — it’d be good to meet/see you.
