Netscape 7.1, Mozilla 1.4 released; media catfight

Netscape 7.1 is now out, and offers, as part of an optional “Developers Pack”, ChatZilla, the DOM Inspector and the JavaScript Debugger. That browser is based on Mozilla 1.4, also available for download today.

On a potentially related note: bloggers in the U.S. can’t be held responsible for libel for information they republish according to a recent ruling. Canada has recently had a couple of notable rulings about online libel, but as far as I know, there’s been no ruling like that.
