The sincerest form of flattery

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Simcoe.com must really like the globeandmail.com. According to a senior producer at globeandmail.com, that site launched its design in June—a time when, according to the Internet Archive, Simcoe.com still liked bevelled graphics.

In other newspaper news, apparently, the National Post is retreating from cuts made earlier and is bringing back the sections, but not the 130 staff who lost their jobs. “Content” will be pulled from existing material in other Southam papers.

And finally, Builder.com will no longer focus on traditional Web design articles. Here’s to hoping Webmonkey can survive (via Zeldman).
