Changing things up

Just a quick post to let you know about some changes that have happened and will be happening.

First off, those observant social-networkers among you may have noticed the change in my work status on both LinkedIn and Facebook (which is now reflected on the bio page of this site): I resigned — on good terms — my position at The Globe and Mail effective this month.

The decision was one of the hardest I’ve made, but I’m looking forward to watching the continued evolution of the sites from the outside for a change. The company has positioned its Web development groups to effectively tackle new projects, and the lead team — comprimised of the most talented people I’ve had the pleasure to work with — is poised to do some very innovative work.

Meanwhile, I will finally be rolling out a new version of this site (as first promised so many years ago) which will become the launching ground for my future projects. Although I can’t offer more details, I can say the site has been at saila.com for a decade this July…
